Bangkok is great for families. There’s loads to do for kids of any age. Any list will be long, but we’ve managed to narrow things down to three recommended family destinations in Bangkok.
Children’s Discovery Museum
A free museum where kids can learn while enjoying many interactive exhibits and indoor/outdoor activities. Organised groups inside take part in cooking, drawing and science experiments, while outside the museum’s facilities include playgrounds and water park. Activities and facilities are suitable for toddlers to preteens.
The museum is near Chatuchak Market, so a visit can be combined with another of Bangkok’s most popular site. Children’s Discovery Museum opens every Tuesday to Sunday from 10.00 a.m. to 4.00 p.m.
Ticket to Mystery
If your kids are older, try this role-play riddle activity. Groups of up to five people per game gather in a themed room and follow a trail of clues. Each group has just under an hour to solve the mystery. Participants can choose from four themes: Ghost Tower 2035, Jack The Ripper London, Honjo Masamune Japan and The Curse of Pharaoh.

Flow House Bangkok
A terrific way for families to escape the heat – and right in downtown Bangkok. A family destinations in Bangkok features an advanced wave simulation machine for board or body surfing. Equipment rental available and instructors are always on hand to help you get the hang of hanging ten. Suitable for kids five years old and up. The tropical urban ambience also includes a restaurant and beach bar.
