Observing local life at Lumpini Park, a large green space located in the city center.
At nearly 60 hectares, Lumpini is Bangkok’s largest green space and an ideal spot for relaxing, strolling, taking exercise as well as other outdoor activities amid stately trees and delightful greenery. The park features an artificial lake with paddle boats, children’s playground, outdoor gym, and sport club all available to the public. The park grounds also serve as venue for occasional musical performances. In and around the park are many vendors providing refreshments, snacks and meals, or bring your own for a picnic right in downtown Bangkok. A good time to visit is just after sunrise or later at sunset, when many take advantage of the park’s relative cool and quiet to practice tai chi, do aerobics or simply enjoy the peaceful atmosphere.
Guests of Novotel Bangkok Silom Road can easily reach Lumpini Park by taking BTS SkyTrain at Surasak Station two stops to Saladaeng Station. Alternatively, they can make use of our free van service to BTS Saladaeng station which is just a few steps to the park!
