Before or after you’ve been to one of Thailand’s famous beaches, visit Bangkok Seashell Museum for a look at shells gathered from all around the world. The three-level building houses a beautifully displayed collection of specimens – 3,000 specimen overall encompassing more than 600 species – in pieces ranging from the minuscule to the massive including a 300-kilogram giant clam. The museum also features a gift shop offering shell jewellery, art works and other items.
The museum is directly opposite the hotel in Silom Soi 23. Admission fee THB 150 for adults, THB 50 for children and students; children under 5 free. Open every day from 10.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m.
